As a workforce strategist, it's essential to acknowledge the pervasive issue of age and gender bias in hiring practices. Womafreesm, a leading organization, is inviting recruiters from the UK, Germany, Poland, Spain, and Ukraine to participate in the Audit 45-64 study. This initiative aims to examine how hiring practices, marketing, and AI systems treat women aged 45 to 64.

The study is designed to gather insights from recruiters who have worked with corporate clients in the past 12 months. The questionnaire consists of 20 questions, expected to take around nine minutes to complete. Participants will compare matched candidate profiles that differ in age and sex, describing patterns they encounter in their markets.

As HR executives and recruiters, it's crucial to recognize the importance of fair hiring practices. Age and gender bias can have significant implications for diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace. By participating in this study, recruiters can provide valuable insights into the expectations expressed in client briefs, conversations, and shortlist feedback that may not appear in public job advertisements.

The findings from this study will help organizations develop strategies to promote fair hiring practices, ultimately creating a more inclusive and diverse workforce. As a workforce strategist, I recommend that HR executives and recruiters take this opportunity to contribute to the study and help shape a more equitable hiring landscape.

In today's digital age, AI-driven recruitment systems can perpetuate biases if not designed with fairness in mind. This study will provide valuable insights into the role of AI in perpetuating or mitigating age and gender bias. By understanding the patterns and biases that exist in hiring practices, organizations can develop targeted strategies to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion.

As a workforce strategist, I believe that this study has the potential to drive meaningful change in the hiring landscape. By working together, we can create a more inclusive and diverse workforce that benefits from the unique perspectives and skills of individuals from all walks of life.
