Responsibilities:
Maintain and optimize SQL Server databases for efficient and reliable performance Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise Ensure data integrity and security through regular backups and disaster recovery planning Collaborate with application developers to design and implement database structures Implement and maintain database maintenance plans
including index rebuilding and data purging Stay updated on industry developments and advancements in SQL Server technology Recommend and implement improvements to enhance database performance and functionality Manage and maintain database users and permissions Proactively identify and resolve potential database issues before they impact performance Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support and perform scheduled maintenance tasks Produce and maintain documentation for database systems and procedures Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to provide updates on database performance and any potential issues Train and mentor junior database administrators as needed Adhere to company and industry security standards and best practices Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure smooth integration between databases and other systems
